It’s hard to think of a time when pop-ups weren’t a part of Los Angeles’s dining fabric. Aside from offering some of the most creative meals in town, these ephemeral events can sometimes provide a preview of up-and-coming brick-and-mortar restaurants. Over the past decade, these makeshift businesses have grown in popularity to become an integral part of how Angelenos eat and drink today. Pizza and a wine tasting — This Saturday, September 9, Bespoke Bar LA is hosting a pizza party featuring pies from Naughty Pie Nature and a free organic wine tasting from Bespoke Bar. The event starts at 5 p.m. and goes until 8 p.m. 2677 S. La Cienega Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90034.

Burgers and wine flights — Studio City’s Vintage Wine + Eats is hosting an end-of-summer parking lot party on Saturday, September 9 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. There will be meat or veggie burgers and frosé, plus Italian natural wine flights from Elevage 4p. Seasonal small bites — Seasonal food and drink pop-up Kama is popping up at Winston House in Venice on Sunday, September 10. Tickets, priced at $75, include several small bites, and there are also cocktails available a la carte. 23 Windward Avenue, Venice, CA 90291.

East-coast based Vietnamese food pop-up Ha’s Đặc Biệt is coming to Virgil Village’s Voodoo Vin from Tuesday, September 12 to Sunday, September 17. Reservations can be made on Resy. 713 N Virgil Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90029.

An omakase pop-up — With existing locations in Denver, Miami, Houston, Dallas, and Houston Hai Hospitality’s Uchi is coming to LA later this year, starting with a four-day, 10-course omakase pop-up at the Pendry West Hollywood ahead of a larger opening.
