CHERISHED EAGLE ROCK PIE SHOP BOUNCES BACK WITH A NEW LOCATION JUST BEFORE THE HOLIDAYS

After an abrupt landlord-related closure right before Thanksgiving, popular bakery Know Reality Pie reopens in a new Eagle Rock space on Friday, December 8. Owner Tracy DeVore tells Eater she is now in the same retail shopping center as Colorado Donuts.

The KCRW Pie Contest winner will cook off-site to meet demand for the holiday season but has plans to turn the new space into a full-on bakery. Know Reality Pie is stationed between Puppy Love Pet Spa and Pizza Man is only takeaway with no seating. DeVore’s flavors vary from season to season, with options like winter wildberry cabernet, molten milk chocolate crackle pie, peanut butter cup, and apple sour cherry. Starting Friday, Know Reality Pie will be open Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 1578 Colorado Boulevard, #4, Eagle Rock, CA, 90041.

Holiday baked goods from a cute stand at Row

From November 1 to Christmas Eve, Chocolate and the Chip bakery has a holiday residency at the ROW. Owner Lola Marie will be on-site with cookies, doughs, cakes, and other baked goods Tuesday through Sunday between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. One can find Chocolate and the Chip at retail locations throughout SoCal, but Marie operates her bakery out of Redondo Beach and ships nationwide.

Topanga Social’s sprawling food hall just announced a “lunch crunch” special. On weekdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., diners pay $15 for an entree and drink meal. Amboy will serve its classic double burger, Katsu Sando has a chicken katsu plate, while Mini Kabob has a chicken thigh plate on deck. All the specials come with drinks.
