I'LL BE MAKING THESE STRAWBERRY MEZCAL MARGARITAS ALL SPRING & SUMMER LONG

The only thing better than an ice-cold strawberry margarita in the summer? A strawberry mezcal margarita. With an earthy, slightly smoky flavor, mezcal brings a uniquely savory quality to the typically tequila-based margarita. Add some fresh strawberries, and you have the perfect balance of sweet, tart, and a hint of smokiness. If you're looking for a way to shake up your classic summer cocktail, this is a must-have.

We kept things simple to really showcase the strawberries, but feel free to have fun with it. Adding fresh basil or mint would be delicious, or some Tajín around the rim for some extra spice. Cointreau is our preference for this drink, but any triple sec will do. Some brands of triple sec are sweeter than others, so if you prefer a more tart drink, start with a scant amount, taste, and add more if necessary. However you prepare this drink, it's sure to be a new summer fave. Cheers!
